Our natural products are made with organic botanical oils, not petroleum based products like petrolatum and mineral oil. They moisturize and protect your skin while allowing your pores to “breathe”. We use only the essential oils for flavoring as opposed to commercially-manufactured flavorings in our balms and glosses. We also offer unscented balm for those who prefer it.
Here are descriptions of the organic carrier oils we use.
Organic Sweet Almond oil is a wonderful emollient (makes the skin soft and supple) for all skin types. It softens, soothes, and revitalizes the skin.
Organic Castor Oil is healing and cleansing for the skin. It provides a protective barrier against the harsh elements, with lots of natural shine.
Unrefined, organic cocoa butter reduces dryness and improves skin elasticity. It is highly emollient, and because it is unrefined, it imparts a distinct chocolate flavor and scent to our balm.
Extra virgin organic coconut oil is one of the healthiest oils you can consume, as well as apply to your skin. It is highly emollient and can be used to moisturize your skin and hair. It is helpful in minimizing the damaging effects of the sun and can minimize wrinkles by supporting healthy skin structure.
Organic Shea butter, which is highly emollient and helps prevent water loss from the skin, is a first choice moisturizer for those who want to want to have naturally healthy skin. Shea promotes healing and cell renewal in your skin while promoting circulation. These qualities make this butter a must for those of us who want to diminish the signs of aging.
Organic Sunflower Oil is deeply nourishing and conditioning, helpful in treating damaged, weathered, dry and aging skin.
We also use raw wildflower honey in our glosses. Honey is humectant, meaning it will draw moisture to your skin. This makes it a perfect addition to our protective lip glosses.
